Mission

To Preserve and develop Bhutan’s rich spiritual heritage through the promotion of spiritual practices by maintaining the pristine nature of monastic discipline, practices and studies together with the standardization of monastic living amenities, encouraging monastic participation in public forums and expansion of Buddhist studies to higher levels.

Our Values

A Civil Servant shall not:

  • Safeguarding Bhutan’s Vajrayana Buddhist heritage, rituals, and sacred scriptures.
  • Supporting the vision of the King, upholding Gross National Happiness (GNH), and serving as a moral and spiritual guide to Bhutanese society.
  • Following the Vinaya (monastic code of conduct) to maintain the sanctity of monastic life.
